**Parenting Advice from Michael Jordan’s Ex-Wife Juanita on Managing Multiple Children: Jeffery, Marcus, and Jasmine**

Michael Jordan was previously married to his ex-wife, Juanita Vanoy, for a span of 17 years. Together, they share three children: two sons named Jeffrey and Marcus, and a daughter named Jasmine.

Juanita, having accumulated a wealth of parenting experience, took to Instagram to share some of her insights. She humorously noted that she consistently refers to her children in order of their age without even realizing it. Her post read:

“Someone asked me if I realized that I always refer to my children in order of their age 😂 I’ve never thought about it. For me it’s habitually automatic… Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine in that order! How about you out there? Do you do this?”

During his marriage to Juanita Vanoy, Michael Jordan treasured the moments they shared. Throughout his illustrious professional basketball career, which included six league titles and numerous individual accolades, Juanita remained a steadfast presence by his side.

In a 1990s interview, the iconic Chicago Bulls star spoke fondly of his then-wife, highlighting her independence, assertiveness, caring nature, and her journey in learning to cook. Jordan expressed his deep affection for her, emphasizing her sense of humor as one of the qualities he cherished.

The marriage between Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy lasted from 1989 to 2006, during which they welcomed three children. Following their separation, Juanita received a substantial divorce settlement of $168 million from the basketball legend, making it one of the costliest celebrity athlete divorces at the time.

Their divorce was attributed to irreconcilable differences, with Juanita initially filing for divorce in 2002. Despite a brief reconciliation, they ultimately parted ways in 2006, finalizing their split.

After the divorce, Michael Jordan’s settlement was surpassed by Mel Gibson, who reportedly paid his ex-wife \(425 million in 2006 after their 26-year marriage. Subsequently, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce set a new record at \)2.7 billion, while Tiger Woods’ divorce from Elin Nordegren in 2010 amounted to $710 million.

Following his divorce from Juanita, Michael Jordan began a relationship with model Yvette Prieto in 2008. The couple got engaged in 2011, leading to their marriage in 2013 at a private ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida. The guest list included prominent figures such as Tiger Woods, Spike Lee, and Patrick Ewing.

Maintaining a low-profile family life, Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto welcomed twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel, in 2014.
